Rocket stove technology is an extremely efficient way to generate heat. Combined with the principals of mass heating, rocket stoves can be used as a sustainable heating system for a greenhouse, coop, barn, or other structure. This 2 day class will introduce participants to the principals, design and construction of rocket mass heaters. Participants will learn about what local materials can be used to build a RMH, as well as safety and proportions for installing the exhaust system. The class provides written guidelines for building techniques with hands on construction of a green house rocket mass heater.
Class includes a hearty lunch and dinner.
Cost is a sliding scale based on what you can afford, $225-$300. The first session is August 9th from 10 AM - 6 PM, the second session is August 16th from 10 AM - 6 PM. The cost of this workshop is for both sessions. Please only register if you plan on and are able to attend both.
